We are The Joinery Firm (Pty) Ltd (“The Joinery firm”), Registration Number: 2021/002992/07. Our workshop's physical address is Unit 25, 256 Main Reef Road, Denver, Johannesburg, South Africa.

These Terms and Conditions shall apply to all orders concluded by or with The Joinery Firm for the sale and/or supply of products on our online shop, thejoineryfirm.com (the “Site”).

 

 

Acceptance

When you submit an order to The Joinery Firm, give any delivery instructions, or accept delivery of any products, this shall constitute your unqualified acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. However, nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights.

What you need to know about shopping with The Joinery Firm

When you shop with The Joinery Firm, you give us your consent to collect and process your personal information, which we use to (for example) create and manage your account, process your payment, fulfill your order, communicate with you, and deliver your goods.

If you do not want us to collect and process your personal information, we will not be able to provide you with goods or services.

  • You are welcome to opt out of marketing communications, although this means you won’t receive our inspirational product and promotion updates.

  • When you purchase from The Joinery Firm, either online or directly from our workshop, we create a customer profile for you.

    • At our workshop:

      • Your sales consultant will set up a customer account for you, with your contact details and address.

      • Online:

  • You will be asked to create a profile which includes selecting a username and password which will be requested every time that you shop online with us.

  • It is your responsibility to keep your credentials private and secure and not share them with anyone. Only authorised users may access their online profile with their credentials.

  • We accept no liability for any damages or losses that you may suffer from the unauthorised use of your profile.

  • Any time you engage with a member of The Joinery Firm sales or call centre team, we will be able to review the details on your sales order to assist you, using your cell number or address or customer account number, or sales order number to open your profile.

  • Please refer to our Privacy Statement for more information on how we process, share, and protect your personal information and your rights regarding your personal information.

Product Information

While every effort is made to ensure that the product you buy, including timber, metal,  fabric, and leather products, corresponds as closely as possible to the sample shown on our website, slight differences may occur. We regret that no responsibility can be accepted for variations that add to the unique characteristics of our products.

  • When online shopping, please remember the way you see the goods is dependent on the device you use to access our website. The Joinery Firm cannot be held responsible for any mistakes in ordering items whose actual colour is different from that appearing on the website as viewed on your computer. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that you visit our workshop to see the actual colour of the item.

  • We urge you to understand your made-to-order product choice. As per the Consumer Protection Act, we are not required to accept cancellations of any customised product.

  • All pre-manufactured items will be liable for a 10% cancellation fee after the cooling-off period of ten days

  • We operate a constant improvement methodology where designs are updated and improved, when necessary, to improve small details in the aesthetics or to improve performance or avoid issues. This means that our specifications may change without notice and that whilst our products remain essentially identical to the sample on display or on our website, there may be reasonable changes and updates made over time that means it is not identical
